Successful Singing Workshop 26th April 2014

There was a large turn out of current and past choir members at a Singing Workshop at St Michaels School, Stoke Gifford on Saturday 26th April 2014 which was organised as part of the Stokes Singers 21st Anniversary celebrations.

The event was organised by Sue Callow and Anne King who did a great job in displaying photographs of the choir over the past 21 years and provided refreshments.

The Choir's current Musical Director, Phillip Lawrence and past MDs, Nick Breeze, Sian Walters and Ben Tansey each rehearsed songs to be included in the Summer Concert.

As each MD rehearsed their selected song it was interesting to experience their very different conducting/teaching styles - each one different, effective and great fun.

At the mid afternoon break we had the opportunity to catch up with old friends and try to spot ourselves in the photos displayed around the hall.

It was a great afternoon which may become an annual choir event.
